For the 4th edition of Uni-Vert, a summit where students come together to discuss sustainability, the environment, and related themes, the students had a concept in mind. To be honest, I was initially concerned it might be too cliché—they wanted a group of people holding hands around the globe. As the designer, my role was to either make that idea work or propose an alternative based on research and expertise. However, I soon realized the concept was actually strong because it truly embodied the core values the logo needed to represent: collectivity, environment, sustainability, engagement, and innovation. So, I took my pencil and sketchbook and explored how to transform their idea into something meaningful and unique.

By carefully incorporating additional meaning into the negative space, I was able to create a clean, geometric mark that still captured all the key values. This approach gave the logo a fresh and modern feel while maintaining the original concept’s spirit. The result was a unique and thoughtful design that resonated strongly with the team and was approved almost immediately.

A green flag for a better future.
