I had the chance to design the visual identity for Matiou, my cousin’s videography business, within a tight three-day timeframe. The process came naturally because I’ve known him my whole life and had a clear sense of his personality, creative vision, and style. Matiou focuses on behind the scenes content, podcasts, and documentary style videos, managing everything from filming and editing to directing and promoting on social media. He is a one-man band looking to attract clients who share his passion, artists like comedians, musicians, and visual creators like myself. With full creative freedom, I developed a logo, website, service offer template, and a series of mockups that reflect his underground and authentic vibe. We also documented the entire process in a long form video in French for his channel. The result is a bold and expressive identity that feels true to him and aligns closely with the kind of work I love to create.

A flexible logo system.
The identity was designed as a full logo system, offering flexibility across formats and platforms. It includes a custom-made logotype, a stacked variation, a standalone icon for small-scale use, and a combination mark that works well in vertical compositions. Each lockup was crafted to adapt without compromising the brand's personality.
An icon with character.
The icon is a seahorse drawn in a raw, artistic style that feels more street than seaside. Inspired by graffiti and Sharpie cartoons, it pushes away from any resort-like associations and blends seamlessly with the logotype. To extend the brand language even further, I created an alternate mark—a happy face built from elements of the logotype, adding a playful and consistent touch.
