In just a few days, I tackled a branding challenge to refresh Fondation L'Effet, an organization committed to creating a positive, sustainable impact through unconventional education opportunities. My mission was to develop a visual identity that genuinely reflected their core values and deeply resonated with their community.
The previous branding, while functional, didn't capture the full essence of their work. Guided by their mission—“The organization’s mission is to make a positive and lasting difference in the community by promoting education”—I set out to reimagine their visual presence.

I simplified their color palette to a cohesive four-color scheme, each colour symbolizing different facets of their mission. The centerpiece of this rebrand was a butterfly icon—symbolizing the Butterfly Effect and embodying transformation and positive change.

Meaning that hits the mark.
To deepen the concept, I designed the butterfly’s wings as four geo-location dots converging towards a common goal. This design choice not only illustrated collective effort and unity but also celebrated diversity, with each wing varying in size and colour to represent the unique contributions of individuals within the community.

Remarkably, my initial idea proved to be precisely what was needed. Despite exploring several alternatives, I consistently found myself returning to this original concept. It’s rare for my first proposal to be the final choice, but in this case, the straightforward approach perfectly met the foundation's needs.

L'effet Bistro
The brand was then expanded to include its sub-brand L'effet Bistro, maintaining the core brand’s clean, modern aesthetic while introducing warmer tones and softer elements. This created a welcoming, cozy atmosphere appropriate for a bistro, all while preserving a cohesive and recognizable identity.
